താരമന്തരനുചിന്ത്യ സന്തതം

പ്രാണവായുമഭിയമ്യ നിർമ്മലാഃ

ഇന്ദ്രിയാണി വിഷയാദഥാപഹൃ-

ത്യാസ്മഹേ ഭവദുപാസനോന്മുഖാഃ

Constantly reminding Aum, Thy sound form;

And by controlling the breath by practises; and

Abjuring senses from subjects;

We prop up devotion on You

ബ്രഹ്മചര്യദൃഢതാദിഭിർയമൈ-

രാപ്ലവാദിനിയമൈശ്ച പാവിതാഃ

കുമ്മഹേ ദൃഢമമീ സുഖാസനം

പങ്കജാദ്യമപി വാ ഭവത്പരാഃ

Yamas, Niyamas and Aasanas

Being the roots, rules and postures,

By strict and disciplined practice

We secure Your credence.

കല്യതാം മമ കുരുഷ്വ താവതീം

കല്യതേ ഭവദുപാസനം യയാ

സ്പഷ്ടമഷ്ടവിധയോഗചര്യയാ

പുഷ്ടയാശു തവ തുഷ്ടിമാപ്നുയാം

O Lord, Endow me health

To attain Your lotus feet

Thy pleasure, by the eight limbed yogas

Upsets my ails

കിമുക്തൈർഭൂയോഭി സ്തവഹി കരുണാ യാവദുദിയാ-

ദഹം താവദ്ദേവ പ്രഹിതവിവിധാർത്തപ്രചലിതഃ

പുരഃ ക്ല്പ്തേ പാദേ വരദ തവ നേഷ്യാമി ദിവസാൻ

യഥാശക്തി വ്യക്തം നതിനുതിനിഷേവാ വിരചയൻ

O Varada, You bestower of bliss...

Mourning on woes and bemoaning on fate,

My trait, lusty alike.

Now I retracts….

For Your mercy, 

I do bow and croon your praises; and

Dissipate my days, ……..

This is my oath.
